With International Coffee day still fresh off the press I wanted everyone to spare a thought for those of us who not only enjoy drinking, making or even trading coffee — but who love coffee so much, they have taken time to study it on an academic level. Being a coffee lover and part of a roastery, I like to think I know a thing or two about coffee, but as with anything there is always room to learn and in this case get your mind well and truly blown with everything you’ve ever wanted to know about coffee.
As a biochemistry major and barista at Beltway Coffee in Abilene, Chandler Graf has a deep passion and appreciation for the integration of science in the art of brewing coffee. Chandler’s TEDxACU talk shares the science behind choosing the best bag of coffee at the grocery store, making great coffee at home, and even understanding what you’re really ordering the next time you go out for coffee.
Enjoy!
I would be grateful if some one could provide me with the entire written script of the video as I want to translate it.
