Coffee has transformed livelihoods around Mutambu Hill over the last decade. Working with Migoti Coffee, hundreds of smallholder families now deliver carefully selected Red Bourbon cherries to a local washing station, where quality and traceability receive as much attention as yield.
The cool slopes overlooking Lake Tanganyika provide an ideal environment for slow fruit development. Long ripening creates concentrated sweetness while preserving the vibrant acidity that has made Burundi one of Africa’s most exciting coffee origins.
The washed process keeps everything beautifully transparent. Expect crisp citrus, red berries and black tea wrapped in a silky body that finishes clean and remarkably elegant.
Optimal roast
Our roast profiles are all considered omni-roast — we believe the profile created for this coffee is just right, therefore roast adjustments are not needed for filter or espresso. Simply adjust your brew ratios to suit your taste.
