ETHIOPIAN X DECAF
We introduce our second ever decaf coffee called the Swissy, named after the unique Swiss Water Decaffeination process it went through. The Swissy has been harvested from Southern Ethiopia in Sidamo. Known reputably for high grown and high quality coffees this coffee has been grown favourably over 1600 masl.
WHAT IS SWISS WATER DECAF?
Swiss Water Decaf is a water-based organic decaffeination process that was founded in Switzerland during the 1930s. Swiss Water® Process uses the elements of water, temperature and time to remove 99.9% of caffeine within coffee beans. Using a specially formulated Green Coffee Extract, caffeine is drawn out from the coffee beans and caught in carbon filters for removal.

Can you taste it?
The decaffeination process does have an impact on the overall flavour of the coffee. However, due to its Ethiopian origin the Swissy has been blessed with pronounced citrus notes that continue to shine through. Expect tasting notes of lemon and green tea with a richness of dark chocolate.
African coffees are known for their fruity nature, so they are usually preferred as pour over filter or as long black for espresso based drinks. That being said this works just as well with or without milk.
We recommend consuming this coffee between weeks 2 to 4 after its roast date, but of course, try it before or after too.
