Kihuyo Factory sits within the Othaya Farmers Cooperative, where hundreds of smallholder producers combine their harvests to create coffees far greater than the sum of their parts. Most farms measure less than a hectare, yet generations of experience are reflected in every harvest.
Nyeri’s combination of volcanic soils, altitude and cool nights has made it one of coffee’s most recognisable origins. The classic SL varieties flourish here, producing concentrated fruit and remarkable structure.
Expect everything that makes Kenyan coffee so distinctive: blackcurrant, grapefruit and panela sweetness, all carried by lively acidity and a long, juicy finish.
Optimal roast
Our roast profiles are all considered omni-roast — we believe the profile created for this coffee is just right, therefore roast adjustments are not needed for filter or espresso. Simply adjust your brew ratios to suit your taste.
