It’s official — we’ve only gone and opened a new coffee shop in St James Street, Walthamstow! Bringing the best specialty coffees in the world to E17, and roasted to perfection.
LONG & SHORT x CRATE
For our second cafe location we had the opportunity to team up with Crate. A business movement that aims to provide a hub for local businesses in the community. Bringing a selection of carefully curated food, retail and services to the masses, there’s something for everyone, but most importantly: our banging speciality coffee. Located next to St James Street station we continue an eclectic theme of art meets jungle meets coffee at the below times and location. Alternatively see all of our locations here.

WHY WALTHAMSTOW?
In no small part helped by the fact that one of the co-founders lives down the road (a whole 3 minutes to walk to the shop), we decided on a location that was positively thriving and with no signs of slowing down. Walthamstow is home to a diverse crowd of individuals, families, nationalities and young professionals. It is a melting pot of people and cultures who have directly impacted the area for the better, and earning it the mantel of first London Borough of Culture.
This tied in nicely with what we stand for at Long & Short: providing a culturally rich and social place that individuals and groups can meet whilst enjoying the delights of good quality specialty coffee.
IN THE PIPELINE
Although we’ve only just launched and the shop is still well and truly in its infancy, we have big plans. One of the other reasons we wanted to open a new shop was to extend the opportunities that Brick Lane had given us. Long & Short in St James Street now allows us to grow in more ways, so expect a forthcoming brunch and cocktail menu alongside some awesome events.

From a smorgasbord of great coffee vendors, we were selected as the coffee anchor for the Crate site so we are grateful to the Crate team for having such good taste and selecting us.
