Born out of a common love for great coffee and boredom of the generic home espresso machine, the AnZa Espresso machines are now in production that offer something special for the home espresso maker.
The AnZa espresso machine is a unique take on what happens when art meets coffee machine. Created by two friends in different professions in Berkeley California it is the collaboration between a design studio and espresso machine repair company that I hope is set to redefine what makes espresso machines great.
Using industrial materials such as concrete, corian, wood, steel, brass and glass in a machine that is predominately metal and plastic based they’ve turned the humble espresso machine into something of a show stopping spectacle. Functional in its coffee making design but sculptural in its artistic interpretation it blends a strong mix of practicality and creativity.
Keeping regular tabs on the progress on the AnZa company i’m happy to announce they’ve been 100% crowdfunded on kickstarter and are taking discounted preorders now with shipments as soon as 2018. Lets hope they work as good as they look.
